Effects of the pandemic on the housing market
The demand for housing has increased significantly due to corona-related factors, for example the rising number of home office employees. In the future, the place of residence will no longer have to be close to the place of work, which will result in a shift of demand to peripheral regions. Another factor is the lower expenditure, for example on holidays, which in turn brings more liquidity for housing. These factors have led to an increase in demand and thus in prices for condominiums and single-family homes. The trend towards nicer, larger and newer flats is also evident in the rental housing market.
